SLAL Fall Photography Show

The South Lake Art League invites photographers of all experience levels to submit their work for the Fall Photography Show, a juried exhibition celebrating the art of photography. Selected photographs will be displayed in the South Lake Art League Gallery from September 9–30, providing artists with the opportunity to exhibit their work and compete for cash awards.

Awards will be presented by the exhibition juror as follows:

  • First Place: $500
  • Second Place: $200
  • Third Place: $150

Photographers are invited to submit their strongest original work for consideration during the official entry window, July 17-August 28, 2026. Submission does not guarantee acceptance into the exhibition. If your work is selected, you will receive an email with artwork acceptance notification, artwork delivery dates and times, exhibition details, and artwork pickup information.

Fall Photography Show Entry Guidelines

Overview

The South Lake Art League invites photographers of all experience levels to submit their work for the Fall Photography Show, a juried exhibition celebrating the art of photography. Selected photographs will be displayed in the South Lake Art League Gallery from September 9–30, providing artists with the opportunity to exhibit their work and compete for cash awards.

Entry Deadline

Entries must be submitted between July 17, 2026, and August 28, 2026, by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time.

Awards

  • First Place: $500
  • Second Place: $200
  • Third Place: $150

Eligibility

  • The exhibition is open to photographers 18 years of age and older.
  • All submitted photographs must be the original work of the submitting artist.
  • The artist must hold all rights to the submitted images.
  • AI-generated images are not eligible. Standard photographic editing and post-processing are permitted.
  • Photographs previously exhibited in a South Lake Art League Fall Photography Show are not eligible.

Submission Requirements

  • Complete one application per artist.
  • Artists may submit up to FOUR (4) photographs.
  • Each photograph must be submitted with the required artwork information and a digital image.
  • Submission does not guarantee acceptance into the exhibition.
  • Entry fees are non-refundable.

Selection Process

  • Submitted photographs will be reviewed by the exhibition committee.
  • Selection is based on artistic merit, the goals of the exhibition, and available exhibition space.
  • Accepted photographs will be eligible for awards selected by the exhibition juror.
  • All selection and award decisions are final.

Accepted Artwork

If your photograph is accepted:

  • The exhibited photograph must match the submitted image exactly. No substitutions will be permitted.
  • Artwork must be professionally presented and ready to hang.
  • Secure wire hanging hardware is required. Sawtooth hangers are not accepted.
  • Artwork must be delivered and picked up during the published dates and times.
  • The South Lake Art League reserves the right to decline any accepted work that differs substantially from the submitted image or does not meet the exhibition’s presentation requirements.

Liability

While every reasonable effort will be made to protect exhibited artwork, the South Lake Art League is not responsible for loss or damage occurring during transit to or from the exhibition. Artists are encouraged to insure their work.

Image Use

By submitting an entry, the artist grants the South Lake Art League permission to use submitted images for exhibition publicity, marketing, social media, the League website, and other exhibition-related promotional materials. Copyright remains with the artist.

Entry Fee

A non-refundable entry fee of is required. Entries are not considered complete until both the application and payment have been received. Entry fees are:

  • $8 Current Members
  • $10 Non-Members

Agreement

Submission of an application constitutes acceptance of these guidelines and all exhibition requirements.
