The South Lake Art League, Inc. is a 501(C)3 non-profit corporation that was
established to encourage and promote art and its appreciation throughout the area. We provide art exhibits
and events, art instruction for adults and teens and we have a weekly mixed media class for kids ages 8 and up.
Our art classes are offered 5 days a week, with workshops and special seminars or events on the weekends.
SLAL
is a member of the Chamber of Commerce and the Clermont Downtown Partnership. We participate in
many of the downtown events with art exhibits by our members and interactive art for adults and kids. The Gallery is now open almost every day all year long, including Sundays during the Farmers Market and
every third Saturday during the Wine and Cheese tasting.
For
outreach to the community, our artists paint Treasure Boxes for the chronically ill children at the Shriner’s
Hospitals. We host Treasure Box Painting Parties where the public can come in to the Gallery and create
a box, with the help of an instructor, and donate that box to a sick child. They are not only providing
a wonderful gift to a child, they are also receiving painting or crafting instructions for a very small fee.
Also for outreach to the community,
we provide a Lunch ‘n Learn series of video seminars to the public. Instead of having to travel out
of state and pay the fees for a seminar, a student can come into the gallery and watch a video by one of the many Artists
who teach by video. Seminars are offered in all media for a very small fee.

- Your cash donation will offset the expense of providing the brushes, paint, patterns, postage and other supplies
needed in order to keep providing the Treasure Box Painting Parties on a monthly basis.
- Your cash donation will provide video seminars to offer to the public.
- Your cash donation will help
defray the cost of utilities and expenses to keep our Gallery/Studio open to the public seven days a week.
- Your cash donation will provide a scholarship to a budding artist who cannot afford to pay for classes or purchase
the materials needed to attend that class.
- Your donation of one of our Wish List items will
