Our members meeting will be Saturday, January 7th at 1:00 pm at the Montrose
Gallery. Pastel Artist, Keith Myers will be doing a demo following a brief meeting.
A reminder to all Teachers
and students: Get your best works of art ready for exhibiting at the Student/Teacher Art Show, January 14 - 28.
Here's a chance for all the students to have their work seen on exhibit in an art gallery. And, it's a great advertisement
for the teachers. Prospective students can see the fantastic art that is produced in your classes. Be sure to
get your students to participate. There is no fee for this exhibit.
The next wine walk will be January
20th from 6 - 8 pm. Stop in and see the Student Art on exhibit and get a taste of the wine and refreshments.
There are more than 20 downtown merchants who participate in this wine walk, so come on down and see what the excitement is
all about.
The Photography Show will be March 10 - 24, 2012. If you or someone you know is a great amateur
photographer, here's your chance to shine. Becker Funeral Home sponsors this show, and we do give out cash prizes and
ribbons in all categories. The Application is on the website for all amateur photographers who wish to participate in
the show.

Cagan

We will be making a few changes at Cagan. Our Boutique
space will be a little smaller, and our class space will be a little larger. In addition to our wonderful Artist's Boutique,
we want to offer more workshops and classes at Cagan. We are going to start offering a painting event. This
will be for people who want to go out for the evening, like a ‘girls night out' or a ‘date night' and bring some
refreshments with them, like wine and cheese, and paint a lovely 16 X 20 canvas to take home at the end of the evening.
This is still in the planning stages, but look for more information very soon.

New Classes, Series & Workshops:
In early January, Joyce Ortner,
international seascape artist, will be in Ormond Beach, FL teaching a 3 week certification. She will also be teaching
two, one day painting classes on Saturday Jan. 14, 2012 and Sat. Jan. 21, 2012. The workshops begin at 9:00AM.
